Characteristic

The SH6V series variable piston pumps for closed-loop circuits are axial piston pumps with a swash plate design and optional through-drive shaft. The SH6V piston pumps are designed specifically for closed-loop hydrostatic transmissions. The delivery rate is proportional to the rotational speed and the swash plate angle.

The delivery rate increases as the angle of the swash plate increases from 0 to the maximum position. Reversing the angle of the swash plate reverses the flow direction. Design choices allow the new units to operate at pressures up to 420 bar [6090 psi].

Suction pressure: The minimum absolute pressure at the suction port of the auxiliary pump of the SH6V hydraulic piston pump must be 0.8 bar [11.6 psi absolute]. At cold start and for short periods, an absolute pressure of 0.5 bar [7.25 psi] is permitted. Under no circumstances may the inlet pressure be reduced.

Operating pressure: Main pump: The maximum permissible continuous pressure on the pressure port of the variable axial hydraulic piston pump SH6V is 420 bar [6090 psi]. Peak pressure is 480 bar [6960 psi].

SH6V piston pump oil-filled pump: Nominal pressure is 25 bar [360 psi]. Maximum permissible pressure is 40 bar [580 psi].
